Ebby (3 y.o.) & her big brother and parents
We are so happy we have found the Forest Kindergarten of Ms Joshua! Ebby started early fall and it has been great to see her so happy and excited to go to Ms. Joshua every school day. The way Ms Joshua engages with children is truly remarkable, with lots of space for exploration and self-expression she simultaneously also stimulates the children to help each other, to be considered and gentle towards the people and nature around them.
The garden is a unique place in itself with chickens, a magnificent swing, an enormous sandbox, a gazebo that usually serves as theater for the many plays of the children, a cozy lunch covered lunch table, big tires, wood, a campfire, leaves, mud, snow, pine cones…. every season offers the children different explorations. Even Ebby’s bigger brother (8 y.o.) joins Ebby on his free days from school and prefers going to Ms Joshua over school.
We see that Ebby is developing into a friendly, open, exploratory, creative and happy little human being and we thank this to Ms. Joshua and her marvelous outdoor Forest Kindergarten.

Ms. Joshua is a gifted and experiences early childhood teacher who is well versed in both pedagogical and therapeutic approaches to education. Children and families who find their way to her beautiful setting will have found a true gem. I highly recommend Fozia Joshua.
Lieve & Mees & parents
“I like that I can play with my friends at Ms Joshua. I love Ms Joshua because she plays with me.” - Mees, 5 y/o.
“I love making different things with Ms Joshua, from a loom to a painting!” - Lieve, 8 y/o
“Our first meeting with Ms Joshua was during an open house at Acorn Hill. One moment Ms Joshua quietly and soft-spokenly introduced herself and explained her approach to teaching, the next moment she was on her belly on a huge fluffy rug, crawling like a caterpillar (and inviting the parents to join her), a twinkle in her eye. This all-in dedication to teaching, and ability to focus on what a child experiences, needs, and deserves, is what makes Ms Joshua unique. She has been an important support for us as parents of young children, and has shown unconditional love toward them. Lieve and Mees still jump at Ms Joshua for big hugs whenever they see her.” - Mariska & Musad, parents of Lieve and Mees
